The device was used with two headphones and morse keys. The instructor would send a message in Morse and the student would receive and note the message. Nice original award document for a Iron Cross second class to Stabsgefreiter Rudi Heller, Grenadier Regiment 980. Together with its original POW paperwork. Signed by Generalleutnant Bertram. Grenadier Regiment 980 was destroyed in Caen and most probably the EK2 was awarded due to actions in this area.
