    Excellent tan painted 6×30 Dienstglas or army issue binoculars. These where issued to all branches in the Wehrmacht. The binoculars retain their original factory tan paint up to 75% and are in very good condition. The binoculars are marked ddx indicating production by Swarovski. The leather strap is original to the binoculars and has a bit rusty steel studs which do not retain any paint.

The binoculars are marked CAG indicating production by Swarovski. The leather strap and lens cover are original to the binoculars and have the textbook tan painted studs but the strap is sadly damages as visible on the pictures!

The case is marked for the 1. Zug, and has a Red Cross peaking through the thick, brush applied camouflage paint. To top it all off there is a shrapnel damage to the side of the case. Impressive example!

  • MG34 u. MG42 barrel changing mitt marked gjs 1943

    Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Choice piece from my personal collection!

    Rare plaque given to veterans in the 101st Airborne Division. These commemorative plaques are found in US 101st Airborne estates and was given out post war by the city of Bastogne. These plaques where made by a froundry in Couvin, Belgium in the 70’s by melting down artillery shell casings left behind from the battle of Bastogne.

    A very nice tan camouflaged ammunition box for the MG34 and MG42. As the Germans occupied Czechoslovakia they took over most of their military stocks including weapons and equipment. This box for the Czech ZB 37 machine gun or MG 37 (t) originally had a slope welded inside to stack the ZB ammunition properly. This slope was removed by the Germans and the leftover holes filled in prior to a tan repaint.

    A rare box to encounter in very good condition with most of the wartime tan camouflage!

    Excellent and rare highlight pencils or Krokierstiften by Eberhard Faber in very good condition. These sets of pencils were very popular among officers and NCO’s and other troops which worked with maps. Easy to keep with you and perfect to clarify and mark maps! The cardboard case is still in good, undamaged condition and the labels are still largely readable. The label clearly reads: “Landkartenstift-Etui Nr. 538“. These examples made by Eberhard Faber are there most collectible variants out there and this example comes straight out of my personal collection! Belongs in any map-case collection!

    A nice late war reinforced Leuchtpistole 42 or LP42 flare pistol. Nicely marked euh indicating production by Metallwarenfabrik C.u. W. Meinel-Scholer, Kligenthal/Sachsen. The pistol still retains the original brown grips, wartime finish on the metal and has not been refinished or reissued postwar. The flare pistol is fitted with a single piece hammer and is reinforced above the grip. The firing pin is missing in this example. The serial is 171272.

    Rare, pre 1935 dated Zeltbahn marked Weber & Ott 1934 with period sewn name tag to Infanterie Regiment 11 (mot). The Zeltbahn is a typical war dog surviving a full 11 years in service. The Zeltbahn has many period glued repairs to the fall size. A very rare 1934 dated example that would be hard to replace!

    Salty Luftwaffe M43 field cap with removed insignia. The cap is a good, worn example which is hard to find nowadays. The cap is a size 56 and is marked 0/0620/0003 1944 which refers to production by Lohmann KG, Fahr (Rheinpro.), Fabrikation v. Verbandwatte u, Verbandmitteln a.A. in 1944.  The cap is worn and comes with the grime and dirt you’d expect.

  • Rare enameled M42 messkit by Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF)

    Messkits and canteens enameled in these colours are attributed to be made by the Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) run by Oskar Schindler. Messkits and canteens, unmarked, in these specific colours have been found in the old factory storage of the former DEF.  There are several other makers of enameled steel canteens and messkits but they all carry different characteristic features such as markings or specific colours. No other maker utilizes these light gray and blue colours and lacks markings. The light blue “wash” on top of the enamel is one of the typical features. The messkit is in good used condition and has one hardly noticeable period repair to the hinges. A very nice and rare messkit!
