    Beautiful 6×30 binoculars or Dienstglas set complete with its original bakelite case and their original carrying straps. The binoculars are marked cag which indicates production by Swarovski, the binoculars features a lot of its original black factory finish which is very nice because most of the binoculars from this manufacturer were finished in tan colour. The binoculars itself still retains the neck strap and the original bakelite rain cover. Finding a set like this, complete with so much of the accessories is really hard, and finding a better 6×30 set would be even harder!

The binoculars itself are made by Carl Zeiss, Jena, which is one of the most famous optics manufacturers. The binoculars itself feature the original leather neck strap. The bakelite case features brown belt loops on the back which matches beautifully with the attached brown carrying straps of the bakelite case. The set is in overall great condition and finding such complete sets is getting hard! Very nice set with aesthetic brown leather details!

  • Rare grouping to serving with Infanterie Regiment 71 in Stalingrad

    Extensive grouping to Otto Heinz, serving in Infanterie Regiment 71. Heinz served from the begin to the end of the war. The grouping consists of his Soldbuch, Wehrpass, Arbeitsbuch, 4 awards documents, a large citation, a three-piece medal bar, a wound badge in black and his Erkennungsmerke and pouch. The Soldbuch is heavily worn; it shows how a field used Soldbuch should look. There is many interesting details including his awards, furloughs and units. Heinz carried a Italian 6.5mm rifle and was issued a a Belgian 9mm pistol in 1945. He was promoted to Gefreiter 1.4.1940, to Obergefreiter 1.10.1940, to Stabsgefreiter 1.3.1943 and Unteroffizier 1.5.1945. He served in the Blitzkrieg in Poland, Belgium and France. 22.6.1941 his unit broke through the Russian border, fought at Minsk, Dnjepr, Smolensk, Beresina, Scosh, Gomel, Brjansk, Orel, Rjasan, Tula, Don and Stalingrad. He survived the ordeal in Stalingrad and broke out; his Wehrpass mentions it is a replacement example for a member of the former 6th Army. The grouping is a nice set that would be a great base for in depth research. The group was sourced straight from the son of the veteran and was always kept in a small wooden box that comes with it. Historical grouping!

  • 12×60 BLC Flak binoculars for the Kommandohilfsgerät and large Entfernungsmesser

    A very nice original 12×60 binoculars marked blc indicating by Carl Zeiss. The view is good but could always be improved with a good service. All the various types of internal mechanical sunshades work perfectly. The rubber is in good soft condition and complete. The strap and eyepiece cover is missing a part but still attached. Not a very easy to find optical device without post war French modifications. There is a separate mount that is postwar made with a original mounting plate, but comes with the piece. This was made to bolt onto a camera tripod so you can fully enjoy the piece!

  • Rare Erdsprachgerät by Siemens 1940

    Rare original Erdsprechgerät in very good used. The Erdsprechgerät was a device used in the case of a broken field phone connection due to shrapnel for instance. This example is nicely dated 1940 and is manufactured by Siemens. The Erdsprechgerät is complete with the microphone and headset. I have opened the set and it looks to be complete inside. The headset looks fine and complete with the rubber ear caps. Very hard to find Erdsprechgerät with its original and undamaged bakelite case!

The mapcase is nicely marked Richard Ehrhardt, Poessneck, Gegr. 1885, 1937 which is a large leather manufacturer since 1885!  The mapcase has been damaged at the carrying loop at some point which has been reinforced at the inside with a thin piece of leather. Nice original mapcase from an interesting manufacturer!
