Published Waffen-SS helmet with original oak leaf cover with Normandy provenance
Superb and surely stunning original Waffen-SS helmet with the original Waffen-SS oakleaf cover it was found with in the 1976 in a farm in Barbonne–Fayel, France which is the sector of 17. SS Panzerdivision Götz von Berlichingen. The helmet and its cover both show the same wear, patina and the cover surely is a exact fit. The cover retains the shape without the helmet and the helmet or its cover have not been cleaned after the find. The cover is a textbook oakleaf example with anodized aluminum hooks finished with single needle sewing machine. The helmet is a textbook Q66 marked example indicating production by Quist. The skirt of the helmet retains a scratched name. The helmet retains its original Quist Waffen-SS decal up to 70%. The helmets shell shows imprint of the cover and the hooks. The helmet cover was published in Militaria Magazine’s famous issue about the SS-Hitlerjugend in august 1988. One can find a SS helmet and or a cover; but finding a original set that has always been together is near impossible. A real conversation piece that would be a nice base for further research!

Stunning numbered SS enlisted man parade dagger by Robert Klaas
Early personalised SS M33 dagger by Robert Klaas. Early nickel silver fittings, ebony grip and anodized scabbard. The dagger is fully matching and has been together since production. It has been opened at some point which is clearly visible by the marks on the fitting screws and pommel nut. The grip shows some chipping and cracks but has remained in one piece and has not lost any large pieces of wood. The Klaas ‘slim grip’ and guards have a near perfect fit and show a bit of oxidation where the guards meet the grip. The scabbard shows most of is anodized surface, is free of rust and only has a couple small dents and slight pitting on one side. Eagle and Enamel SS – runes were never removed and also show a bit of oxidation near the edges. The fitting ring isn`t fully closed like normaly, but it has not lost constructional intagerity and the ring for the hanger can`t be removed. The tip of the scabbard is a bit dented on one side as is often seen with used early daggers. The acid etched motto has lost some of its dark burnishing over time, possibly because it cleaned ones before. Overal there is still good crossgraining on the blade, tip is still fully present and the blade itself was never sharpened as should be the case with parade daggers. Some horizontal scratches visible on the dagger, most likely from taking in and out the scabbard over the years. The dagger comes with matching unmarked black hanger that got a vasline/oil treatment by one of its past owners to keep the leather flexible. The dagger was perosnilzed with the ss number 110737. This is most likely form an NCO as the numbers has not been found in the Dienstalter-Liste as of yet. There are still new lists to be found and the number could still be linked in the future or with further research in general. Good looking early ss dagger with good appeal.
