  • Sea green Kriegsmarine communications gasmask named V.D. Lippen

    Stunning named and unit ID’ed coastal artillerie or Küstenartillerie tall M38 communications gasmask in untouched condition. The canister is externally fully overpainted in the typical sea green or battleship grey showing loads of patina. The mask itself is a navy issued communications gasmask with a large Kriegsmarine acceptance stamp inside. The straps of the mask are named to V.D. Lippen 47587. This is interesting because it most probably is a Dutch or Belgian name and because 47587 indicates it was a U-Boot unit. All in all a superb set that would be hard to upgrade and surely gives more room for further research!

    The field post number indicates;

    47587
    (30.7.1941-28.2.1942) B.d.U.,
    (8.9.1942-11.3.1943) 12. U-Flottillen-Kommando
