Very nice and rare BAGS WATERPROOF DOUBLE TEXT GENERAL PURPOSE TYPE 1 .

The Bag is a rectangular shaped item made from a double layer of waterproof medium weight olive drab # 3 (khaki) sateen cloth. It features a throat made from a single layer of waterproof sateen, so designed that when drawn shut with the cord provided for this purpose, it is completely waterproof. There is an additional closing strap with square buckle that wraps around the entire bag when filled. Development took place in 1944 and although the authors have never seen any photographs illustrating the item, it can be assumed that such piece of equipment may have been used during Operation “Neptune” along with the series of other Waterproof Bags, Special Purpose (used to protect equipment against rain, spray, and immersion during amphibious operations).
General dimensions are 20“ x 16” x 16” and Quartermaster Corps Stock No. is 24-B-1258.

As the item was produced by the Quartermaster Corps, neither an official Medical Department Item Number nor a contents list exists. However, The Quartermaster Supply Catalog QM 3-4, 1945, describes it as an ALL-PURPOSE Bag, used for carrying miscellaneous equipment such as wool blankets, surgical equipment, dressings etc.

Very nice late war ZF4 scope for use with the G43. The Scope is in very good used condition, optics are clear but could be cleaned. The scope is engraved L indicating Luftwaffe issue. Nice set!

Very nice Heer M34 sidecap or Schiffschen with white soutache for Infanterie. Nicely maker marked Albert Kempf Mützefabrik W. Rogsdorf ML 41. Nice with typical hand sewn bevo insignia and machine sewn white soutache for Infanterie.

Very nice steel M42 canteen cup marked E.43. 

Rare leather A-frame strap in good used and supple condition. Hard to find spare for any A-frame!

A very nice original US SIGNAL LAMP M-227 in very good and complete (!) condition. This M-227 is complete with all items that you’d expect to see. Super piece that’s fully complete!

Very nice near mint M42 helmet marked NS66 indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, Schwerte. The helmet retains its originally applied liner and a imo period repaired chinstrap. The helmet is a nice large size and retains up to 99% of the factory applied paint.

Rare period metal sign marked SAFE LANE indicating a safe route. These make great backdrops to any collection!

Very nice US paratrooper wrist compass by Superior Magneto. Nicely dated and marked. These compasses where also known to been worn over the sleeve, the shoulder loops, webbing, or at the ankle over the jump boots. Wrist compasses were used both by officers and enlisted men. A very nice example that would be hard to upgrade.

Stunning and textbook named single decal Waffen-SS M40 helmet marked ET66 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet is a textbook example for a Waffen-SS m40 helmet in very good condition. The dome stamp is clearly visible. The helmet retains up to 90% of its original factory finish and 80% of its textbook ET runic decal. The hemet is a untouched example with its original liner and chinstrap. The helmet is a nice large size 66 with a nice 58 size liner. The helmet retains its period factory applied textbook ET style runic decal up to 80%. Really a stunning example of one of the most iconic pieces out there that would be hard to upgrade!

Mint unissued pre war equipment belt in a large size. The belt is nicely unit marked and maker marked Pfalz LLG 1938. A nice large size fitting most if not all modern mannequins in a very nice lightbrown colour! Really the perfect pre war equipment belt that’s impossible to upgrade.

Late war unissued Luftwaffe belt buckle with 99% of its factory paint remaining.

Very nice original aluminum ammunition case in two tone camouflage pattern in good used condition. The box retains a piece of shrapnel embedded to the side of the box. Very nice original shrapnel damaged ammunition box!

A very nice original long gasmask strap marked ebd 44.

Very nice M36 field blouse for a Hauptfeldwebel der Infanterie with period sewn inisniga. The garment is a very nice example that started out as a M40 tunic with a period added bottle green collar. The garment has two period sewn award loops on the left breast pocket. The garment hasn’t been shortened or the waist taken in and is a very nice medium size.

Very nice original and matching K98 bayonet marked Gebr. Heller 1939. The bayonet is in very good condition with the blade having a nice deep red factory blueing. The scabbard has a few minor dents but is otherwise very nice. The bayonet is serial numbered 3491 I and maker marked Gebr. Heller indicating production by Gebr.Heller, Marienthal which is a uncommon maker. Very nice pre war bayonet in very good, used condition!

A mint M42 Kochgeschirr marked ESB43 and ESB44 indicating production early 1944 by Eduard Sommerfeld, Berlin. The messkit is painted red oxide covered externally finished in olive paint. The messkit retains up to 99% of its original brown finish. Out of hundreds of mess kits, this is the best one I’ve yet!

Superb near mint and large Reichskriegsflagge 2×355. The flag is huge, 2 by 3.55 meters. The flag is in very good near mint condition with some small spots. Nicely marked Reichskriegsflagge 2×355 with the Naval acceptance stamp. This size of flag would have been used on a destroyer or cruiser.

Stunning untouched and named camouflage m40 helmet. The helmet is marked Q62 indicating production by Quist. The helmets exterior features a rough overpaint topped off with a two or three-tone camouflage finish that was applied with a helmet net. The paint shows vibrant colours and cracks in the shape of the Luftwaffe decal. The helmet retains its period factory applied liner and chinstrap that both show the equal heavy wear that can also be seen on the exterior of the helmet. The helmet is a stunning and textbook example of a original three-tone camouflage helmet in untouched and uncleaned condition that is very hard to find nowadays.
