    Excellent untouched US M1 helmet with Hawley liner named Louis E. Mertz jr. The shell retains its originally sewn chinstraps and cork textured paint. The shell shows various stress cracks which are typical for this type of helmet. The helmet is in used condition with loads of character that surely makes it a typical example of a combat worn helmet.

  • ID’ed US grouping to Med-Dept Francis D. Bigley

    Large uniform and equipment grouping to Francis D. Bigley in good condition. The group consists of his Class-A jacket, small souvenirs and his equipment set. Most if not all of his items are marked with the last digits of his ASN 31410358. The equipment set consists of his complete haversack with shelter quarter, poles and stakes, T-handle shovel, meat can in pouch, the tail and all straps. The pistol belt and Carlisle first aid pack are also marked 0358. The class A-jacket is dated 1942 and named and ASN numbered. This is a great grouping that would be a good base for further research!

The pouch is a excellent Luftwaffe example with blue canvas and several colours of leather mixed which is a neat feature. The leather has been treated with a professional leather care product at some point. The pouch is a excellent and mint example that would be very hard to upgrade.

    Unissued first pattern Gebirgsjäger Windjacke marked C&O Dressel M37. The jacket is in very good, in my opinion unissued condition. The jacket retains all factory sewn buttons, but the loops for shoulderstraps where removed at some point. Otherwise mint and perfect, impossible to upgrade.

    Unissued grey reversible winter parka. The parka is a textbook example with period whitewashed white camouflage side. The garment has had some of the stitchings of the buttonholes undone; otherwise its mint and perfect and impossible to upgrade.

    Textbook Luftwaffe issue M43 field cap in untouched, as found condition. The cap retains its factory sewn insignia consisting of a machine sewn cocarde and a handsewn (though factory applied!) eagle. Beautiful example with a lovely patina.

    Rare ‘Full Script’ Overhoff Waffen-SS Belt buckle in good used condition. The buckle is a uncommon example showing the full maker name Overhoff on the back. These markings were discontinued and ordered removed when the RZM system was introduced. The buckle as a period repaired catch which is not uncommon for these buckles with brassed welded catches.

The buckle shows traces of usage and is a clearly combat used example! Nice pre war produced aluminium Waffen-SS belt buckle!

The garment features its wartime sewn insignia and a set of M40 Heer Artillery shoulderstraps. The size is good for modern militaria mannequins. Nice piece!

The parka had it’s white side camouflaged with white paint which was common practice when mud darkened the white cotton rendering its camouflage purposes useless. The parka is in good used condition and would be a nice addition for a winter display!

    US 82nd airborne Ike Jacket ID’ed S5885. The jacket comes with a shirt with the same laundry number and a 82nd airborne patch. The jacket has the rank of Staff Sergeant to a Infantry regiment. The jacket has a ribbon bar indicating Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. This last ribbon comes with a spearhead and four stars indicating he partook in Husky, D-Day, Market Garden and possibly Varsity. It is decorated with the Fourragère or lanyard for France, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Ike jacket shirt would be a nice base for further research!

The helmets chinstrap has always been over the rear part of the shell as can be seen by the untouched verdigris, patina and oxidation on the shell. The helmet is complete with its original Firestone navy blue liner that was painted together with the shell. Nice and attractive US Navy M1 helmet in excellent condition!

    This piece was a part of the late Nick Komiya collection who was a very knowledgeable Japanese collector who wrote many interesting articles on Warrelics and Wehrmacht Awards forum. The item sold here is a part of his article here. A nice and rare example from a well known and curated collection!

The cup is nicely marked with the 3 letter code gfc 1941which indicates production by Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland in 1941. The cup is MPD marked with the material K which indicates the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. Nice uncommon green cup in very good condition which belongs in any canteen collection!
