German helmet

Superb original unit ID’ed M1 helmet liner to a member of the 29th Infantry division. Nicely named Woods on the back. The liner bears the divisional insignia of the famous 29th Infantry division to the front. Inside the liner the partial ASN 1688 can be read. The toal is 33531688 from Private James K. Page who enlisted in Virginia and served in the 29th Infantry Division. Exceptional to find a original 29th ID helmet with the insignia to the front. The liner is in obviously combat worn and as found condition.

Late war Soldbuch of Jäger Hildebrandt. The soldbuch was handed out on the 1st of April 1945. At this time Jäger Hildebrandt served in the Genesenden-Kompanie-Grenadier Ersatz und Ausbildungs battalion 467, with was located in Stendal near the Elbe river. He was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen im Schwarz and Kriegsverdienstkreuz II Klasse mit Schwerter on Hitlers birthday in 1945.  Very hard to find late war Soldbuch for a Berlin battle veteran!

With the Soviet and Allied forces advancing towards Berlin, Jäger Hildebrandt was transferred to Kampfgruppe Oberstleutnant Bahr, which was part of the Divisionsgruppe Von Hake as Grenadier-Regiment Von Hake. A hastily formed unit which fell subordinate to the XXXXI Panzerkorps. The Kampfgruppe Bahr/Grenadier regiment von Hake was made up from several units like a Flak battalion from Hannover, Gren.E.A.Btl. 467 from Stendal and a battalion of the Hundeschule Rathenow. On the 22nd of April the Panzerkorps fell under the leadership of the 12th Army, commanded by General der Panzertruppe Walter Wenck, and was sent east of the Elbe river to attack towards Berlin, and relieve the units trapped in and around the city. The main effort of the 12th army was to attack towards Potsdam and the trapped 9th Army at Halbe. Initially the attack surprised the Russians and the German forces gained some success, reaching as far as Schwielowsee near Potsdam. The Divisionsgruppe Von Hake however was sent further north to the area of Neuruppin and northwest of Havelberg to face the Russian 47th Army. An attack by the XXXXI Panzerkorps which was intended to push towards the city of Berlin didn’t stand any chance, instead they broke through at Kyritz on the 1.5.1945, on 2.5.1945 another Soviet attack broke trough the Panzerkops lines at Friesack and Fehrbellin. What was left of the Divisionsgruppe von Hake tried to withdraw to the bridgehead at Tangermünde and thus escape Russian captivity.

A very nice pair of M40 Heer NCO shoulder boards for a Unteroffizier der Pioniertruppen with subdued (!) tresse.

Nice original early M40 Heer geometrical camouflage helmet marked NS64 indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, Schwerte. The helmet is a nice example of a combat worn early Heer M40 helmet with a reinforced aluminum liner and a worn handpainted camouflage pattern with lots of patina. The helmet retains its factory paint and decal which is topped off with a nice handpainted three-tone camouflage pattern which has the decal peaking through the paint. The helmet retains its liner and chinstrap which are original to the helmet. The helmet is a very nice example of a very early M40 helmet which has been throughout the war and has a nice camouflage pattern to it at a very good price!

Nice original hollow Infantry assault badge in silver or Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber. Unmarked but the design indicates production by Schauerte und Höhfeld.

Very nice and aesthetic combat helmet. Field repainted in field grey on top of a reissue on top of the factory apple green paint. The helmet shows two stacked Heer and Kriegsmarine decals under the field grey repaint. There are traces of gold and silver decals. The helmet retains its original liner and chinstrap. The helmet is a very nice example of a helmet that was first issued in the Heer and later transferred to a Küstenartillerie unit. The grey top colour is typical for coastal artillery. The helmet retains its original non-reinforced liner which has a small label sewn inside the liner. It reads Brünahl 4. Battr. Art. Regt. 2. 

Scarce 1936 dated straight E-tool with 1938 dated carrying case. The leather is supple and the E-tool can easily be moved in and out of the piece. Very hard to find a pre war one in good condition!

Nice original Dutch waffen-SS recruitment booklet – Volg de roepstem van eer en geweten! Rare example in very good and complete condition.

A very nice original three-tone or Normandy camouflage gasmask canister. The canister is nicely named to two different soldiers. The canister retains its original camouflage paint up to 75% and is in very nice vibrant condition. The canister still retains the spare lenses, filter and mask. A classic Normandy camouflage gasmask canister with the typical bright colours. Really a stunning piece that would easily be matched to a Normandy camouflage helmet!

A very nice original cap eagle marked RZM M1/72 indicating production by Zimmermann.

Death card of the Grenadier Matthäus Müller. Killed in action at the battle of Echternach at 21 years old on 7th of January 1945. Koller is buried in Sandweiler, Luxembourg.

A rare buckle to find in great condition! The cracked wing can be identified trough the crack in the upper left wing and head of the eagle. These buckles are unmarked and it is unclear who made these exactly. These buckles are rare to find!

A very nice aluminum early MG34 ammunition box camouflaged in a nice light tan paint. The box retains up to 95% of its original wartime applied camouflage paint. If you need just one tan camouflage MG34 ammunition box this is it!

Mint leather k98 bayonet frog with aluminum hardware marked H Nordmark 1940. The leather is supple and playable, perfect to match to a 1940 dated bayonet! Very hard to find.

A very nice set of insignia for Signaltruppen der Kriegsmarine. 

A nice tropical A-frame pouch in unissued condition. There are some traces from storage such as dust. Nicely marked REP 43.

Stunning untouched Coastal artillery field blouse for a Obergefreiter der Küstenartillerie. The garment retains fully originally wartime sewn insignia with a set of loops for a Küstenartillerie Kriegsabzeichen. The garment is in very nice lightly worn condition and is totally made from high quality ribbed Dutch material as used in Dutch tunics. The garment retains a light patina on all the high areas such as the pockets. The garment retains all of its originally sewn buttons and a set of privately purchased coastal artillery shoulderstraps. The garment is a very nice and very hard to find original Coastal artillery field blouse for a Obergefreiter der Küstenartillerie. Perfect and unique piece for any Kriegsmarine or Küstenartillerie collector!

Scarce mint leather strap for the large Wehrmacht issue food container. Nicely matching maker marked gyb 1944 indicating production by Bauer, Wilhelm, Friedr., G.m.b.H., Lederwarenfabrik, Offenbach a.M.-Bieber.. Impossible to find spare when you have the food container!

A textbook Heer M40 single decal helmet marked EF66 indicating production by Emaillierwerke Fulda. The helmet is complete with its original liner and chinstrap that are original to the helmet. The liner and chinstrap is original to the helmet and in good light used condition. The chinstrap is full length, supple and marked. The liner is named to Gefreiter V Thüngen. The helmet retains up to 90% of its original factory paint and 95% of its decal. All in all a very nice helmet in very good condition.
