€325.00A stunning speckled brown bakelite 6×30 binocular case. Later in the war when the Germans ran out of pigment for bakelite they switched over to different fillers. Sawdust was one of the filling materials used, creating a interesting speckled finish. The brown bakelite dienstglas containers where mostly found with tan 6×30 binoculars. The case is in very good, undamaged condition and has a very aesthetic and vibrant light brown colour which would nicely attribute a late war uniform setup.

Interestingly this case clearly shows the filler material of the Bakelite being shredded textile fiber. The case is complete with the leather belt loops on the back which could have been restored. €750.00Rare early M24 grenade case with pre 1933 Waffenamt in excellent condition. This is a early case maker marked Ernst Sorst & Co Hannover with a pre 1933 Waffenamt marking. The case is a interesting example for multiple reasons; it is the first example I have seen which has riveted and not spot welded metal fittings. Secondly this example is factory finished in a apple green paint and complete with its stencils. Even though there is no internal carrying rack this is truly one of the rarest examples to find; for sure a first for me!

MG34 u. MG42 barrel changing mitt
€300.00Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. Hard to find item!

The buckle is a typical Belgian product with its base material in Zinc and the typical large prong bar retaining stud which is bigger then the well known Rodo variants. The buckle retains its typical catch which is made from metal wire, soldered to the base. The buckle is a typical example with its silver paint finish. This is a very hard buckle to find, and probably unique with its original blue paint finish!

Combat pioneer side pouch with dark green coarse webbing straps

These straps have only been encountered at these combat pioneer pouches, or canteens as far as my knowledge goes. All by all equipment which features this dark green coarse webbing is extremely rare and wanted by collectors. The bag is in overall good, almost mint condition and seems to be unissued. No markings can be found. The atypical construction of this pouch with a range of different materials including the dark green coarse webbing makes this bag impossible to upgrade! For sure one of the best single combat pioneer pouches I have ever offered!

(Salzburgerstrasse) which makes this a very nice and interesting named example!
