  • Late war LP42 flare marked euh 099558

    A nice late war reinforced Leuchtpistole 42 or LP42 flare pistol. Nicely marked euh indicating production by Metallwarenfabrik C.u. W. Meinel-Scholer, Kligenthal/Sachsen. The pistol still retains the original brown grips, wartime finish on the metal and has not been refinished or reissued postwar. The flare pistol is fitted with a single piece hammer and is reinforced above the grip. The serial is 099558.

The helmet liner is a textbook pre war reinforced aluminum example marked DRP Schuberth Were KG Braunschweig 1938. The liner fits a size 66 shell with the head size 59. The chinstrap is marked Gebr. Hast Dresden 1938 and retains its Luftwaffe acceptance stamp (LBA)

The mask itself is a size 2 in unissued condition. The bottom of the can retains the spring and cleaning cloth. Very hard to upgrade!

One of the Female studs on the liner is loose, otherwise undamaged and complete with the typical leather chinstrap with OD buckle. Hard to upgrade piece in good condition.

The Gorget is a nice mid to late war example with a wool back and is nicely marked with an M in a diamond shaped logo. The consensus among collectors is that this M logo indicates production by the company J.C. Maedicke, Berlin.  Very hard to find in this condition and a centerpiece in any Feldgendarmerie display!

The garment is in an unissued condition with only a few small moth holes. The greatcoat is beautifully maker marked Jöhann Konen KG, München.This was one of the most prolific garments as worn by members of the troops fighting in the Ardennes Offensive. Fine small to medium size which will fit almost all modern mannequins!

The trousers have the pocket flaps loosely sewn inside the pockets which is a feature easily restored. The internal belt is there but retracted in its sleeve.
