  • MG34 and MG42 barrel changing mitt

Rare wartime barrel changing mitt for the MG34 and MG42. When firing the MG34 and MG42 continuously the German soldiers where presented with a harsh and difficult task: changing the barrel. The MG34 and MG42 where both made with a quick-change barrel and to help in the changing of the barrel these gloves where invented and issued. These gloves where issued with the accessories of the MG34 and MG42. It is simply used by placing the hand under the strap and using the pad to cover your hand when you grab the hot, sometimes even glowing barrel. The barrel is then placed in the Laufschützer to cool down and a cool new barrel is inserted. According to regulations, the barrel had to be changed after 150 rounds fired continuously. • Second pattern Luftwaffe Field Division smock with HG shoulderstraps

Excellent original second pattern Luftwaffe Felddivision smock in Splittertarn B camouflage with a period added matching pair shoulderstraps for a EM in the Hermann Göring division. The smock is a nice first pattern with steel dish buttons on the sleeves and the Splittertarn B printed on the reverse of Drillich fabric. The breast eagle is a typical original example showing the same patina as the garment and is factory sewn to the garment. There are no signs of the eagle ever having been replaced; resewn or stitch holes of previously sewn examples. The sewing is textbook, wartime insignia application. It originally was found in a estate sale in Kalamazoo Michigan and has been in the hands of a single collector eversince. The garment is a nice large mannequin size and would be a nice base for a combat mannequin – a nice example with matching shoulderstraps!

  • US M1942 Coat, Parachute, Jumper, 17th Airborne

Textbook US M1942 Jump Jacket, ID;ed to T/Sgt Robert S. Markel, 464th Parachute FA Battalion 17th Airborne division. The jacket is in good, complete condition period sewn rank insignia. The jacket is a good, medium size for modern militaria mannequins. The jacket retains its waist belt and functional press studs. The jacket is ID’ed using the ASN inside 33/64605 which is also partially inscribed in the back of the jacket. The jacket is in very good condition and would be a great base for further research.

  • ET68 M38 paratrooper KIA helmet

Unique, untouched Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger m38 helmet marked ET68 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet was period overpainted in black paint; a feature I have seen with a number of helmets. The helmet retains its factory fitted liner and period placed chinstrap; both in blood soaked condition. This is a typical ‘KIA’ or ‘Killed in Action’ helmet. One of the back screws was lost and period replaced with a piece of bailing wire. The helmet is a untouched, as found example, probably sent home by a GI. The back of the liner band has initials enscribed; I can’t quite make it out but it could be a nice base for research.

  • ET64 M35 Heer double decal helmet with masked tricolor

Excellent M35 Heer double decal helmet with period masked tricolor decal. The helmet retains its factory fitted liner and period placed chinstrap both in good worn condition. The helmet retains its Heer decal up to 90% and its tricolor decal is nicely period masked in Feldgrau paint. The helmet is a typical helmet as issued and worn in the 1940 campaigns when the tricolor decal was ordered removed or masked.

  • Rare smooth cotton Waffen-SS Erbsentarn tunic

Minty Waffen-SS Erbsentarn camouflage field blouse in smooth Italian cotton. The garment is a superb example showing its bright and contrast rich colours that would be very hard to upgrade. Nicely marked Betr. Ra. indicating production by Betriebswerk Ravensbrück (Texled). Most of these garments feature heavily frayed button holes, holes or faded colours. At some point, most probably post war; a stamp was added inside inside reading SA-Spez.-Div Feldhernhalle. The buttons to the front have been moved about 2CM to accommodate a larger waist. There is a area of light wear to the back but no fading. The garment is near perfect and would be a very good addition to any SS collection. For sure one of the best Erbsentarn garments I have had the pleasure to offer with the best colour scheme!

  • Rare Waffen-SS Panzer wrap

Rare original Waffen-SS issue Panzer wrapper in good used condition. The jacket is a textbook example in the full length, not shortened. The garment has a few small repairs; otherwise it is in good used condition and unwashed condition. Tobacco remnants are still inside the large pocket. The garment is a nice medium size. The loops for the shoulderstraps and buttons are absent but could be easily restored. This is a excellent and textbook service worn garment that would be a prime piece in any SS collection.

  • Rare late Waffen-SS Erbsentarn pattern Panzer trousers in smooth cotton marked 393

Extremely scarce original Waffen-SS Panzer crew member trousers in smooth Erbsentarn camouflage fabric. One of a handful known in the collector community; this is the pinnacle of collecting camouflage items of the utmost rarity. The trousers are in very good, IMO lightly worn condition. The garment retains all but one factory sewn buttons. There is a small period handsewn repair to the back of the seat, otherwise it’s undamaged. Both leg tie straps are intact as is the internal belt and the inside pockets. The trousers are in a good, medium to large size fitting most modern sized mannequins. The garment is marked 393 which is the only known maker for these trousers in this material and a typical Waffen-SS manufacturer code. There are some light paint stains on the trousers which don’t distract too much of the vibrant and contrast-filled colours of the Erbsentarn pattern used in the construction for these trousers. A rare opportunity to purchase real Waffen-SS camouflage Panzer trousers in smooth(!) material!

I usually don’t post items to the top; but this one deserves a spot next to the Black SS Panzer wrapper!
