Y-straps manufactured from British webbing in Wirtschaftsamt Litzmannstadt
These Y-straps are made in the Ghetto of Lodz, Poland which the Germans renamed into “Litzmannstadt”. They are made using parts of captured British equipment items. These British equipment items where left in 1940 when the British Expeditionary Force evacuated to the United Kingdom. The Germans sent these for recycling and a lot of work was put in disassembling every British equipment piece and recycling the individual parts into German army equipment. This Y-strap is a beautiful example of the equipment that was made in Litzmannstadt. The Y-strap is in stone mint condition and shows a lot of interesting British features and details into the construction. This is by far the best Litzmannstadt Y-strap I have ever seen and had the pleasure to offer and is impossible to upgrade!

Matching blue MP38 u. MP40 magazine pouches dkk
Excellent pair of matching blue MP38 u. MP40 magazine pouches in slightly used condition. The pouches are an a-typical construction with the closing flaps made out of another fabric than the base material of the pouches. This construction can be linked to maker dkk which would indicate production by Friedrich Offermann u. Söhne, Lederwarenfabrik, Bensberg. The pouches are both matching in cloth, stitching, hardware and leather. The pouches are executed in nice blue canvas with brown leather and grey/blueish canvas. The blue canvas has a red line in it on the back and has an interesting construction with many different thread colours in the construction. A nice original MP40 ammunition pouch set in very good condition. If you need just one set, this is it!

Rare(!) orange bakelite canteen cup F7/K
Incredibly rare original orange bakelite canteen cup. This is a rare opportunity to buy an original orange bakelite canteen cup. This example is beautifully marked with a MPD code which was typical for period produced bakelite items. The MPD code F7/K indicates production by a still unknown maker and the usage of urea resin (which is a certain type of Bakelite) with an organic filler material. The bakelite is still in a very good and rather smooth condition and the material isn’t heavily affected by all the years in the ground except for some discoloration which in my opinion could be further cleaned. The only damages are some tiny cracks at the top of the cup. Beautiful original and very rare example! This cup was found in Berlin recently together with 12 complete and 5 damaged cups. They were dug up underneath remnants of a concrete floor together with other canteen cups and butterdishes. In 15 years of collecting I’ve only found one example for my personal collection: this is only the second time I’ve been able to acquire one. I have kept 3 cups for my personal collection, other then these there are no other orange cups on the market that I am aware of. Rarer then most Knights Crosses: this is probably the rarest item I have had for sale in the 5 years that fjm44.com has been online! -

There is a repair to the central loader compartment strap which is obscured when the pouch is fully closed. I’ve pictured it next to another leather pouch in our inventory so you can judge wether you’d make a set of it. The pouch would be a great addition to any equipment collection and it would be very hard to find another; let alone a better one!

Rare bakelite 6×30 Dienstglas CXN
One of the rarest bits of German army equipment. A stunning pair of 6×30 Dienstglasbinoculars marked CXN indicating production by Emil Busch. The binoculars have clear usable lenses which could be cleaned. The binoculars still retain all of their zinc and bakelite without any serious defects. The oculars can easily be removed from the mount. The binoculars are nicely adjustable. They still have the Strichplatte and the sight is slightly dubbed but clear, good enough to use in my opinion! They are fitted with a adjustable strap that is affixable to two sets of bales on the reverse of the main body. I have added two pictures of these type of binoculars in use. Bakelite binoculars can be seen on the left hand side of the picture worn by the Unterscharführer in Kampfgruppe Knittel at the Kaiserbaracke crossroads.
