Kompanie Pionier Ersatz Battalion 9 which fell under the 159 Reserve Division which was stationed on the Atlantikwal and suffered heavy casualties as it withdrew when the allies landed in southern France. The tag comes with its typical cord albeit shortened. A nice piece with possibility for further research.

Rare original leather cloth protector that was worn on the tongue of the belt and kept the buckle from fraying up the tunic. These are virtually always missing from the parade belts and this is the first one I’ve ever encountered!

Zinc Erkennungsmarke 4./ Ers. I.R. 19
A nice original Erkennungsmarke marked 4./ Ers. I.R. 19 indicating 1. Kompanie Ersatz abteilung Infanterie Regiment 19 which played a vital role in the 1939 campaign pushing into Poland. The 10th of may 1940 it was the first unit to breach to Juliana Kanaal fortifications in the Netherlands and pushed onwards to the Scheldt. After the 1940 campaign it was sent to the eastern front and saw actions right until the end of the war. The low number and the abbreviation “J.R.” on the aluminum Erkennungsmarke indicates a early manufacture. The disc is made in Zinc and should ideally be cleaned!

Document grouping with matching shoulderstraps to Infanterie Regiment 57
Nice original document grouping to Unteroffizier Paul Reichmann, Infanterie Regiment 57 which was a part of the 9. Infanterie Division which fought throughout the war. Starting may 10 1940, 9.ID crossed Luxembourg into Belgium with the first major battles around Amiens and at the Somme. It then crossed the Oise river and was one of the first units to march into Paris. In June 1941 it was moved into action on the eastern front fighting at Mosastyr and broke through the Stalinlinie. It was well occupied until 1943 when it was ordered to defend the Kuban bridgehead. 9. October 1944 the division was reformed into the 9. Volksgrenadier Division which was moved west and soon to be put into battle during the Ardennes offensive. On 24. December 1944 the division assembled in Manderscheid where it was sent into the offensive fighting at Bastogne, Wilz and Vianden.
The grouping consists of three award documents for the Eisernez Kreuz 2. Klasse, Winterschlacht im Osten and the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber. The EK2 document is signed by Knights Cross wearer Generalmajor Siegmund Freiherr von Schleinitz. The documents are accompanied with a set of matching and cyphered shoulderstraps to Infanterie Regiment 57.
A very nice original document set with matching shoulderstraps for a very interesting unit!

Heer Artillerie officers visor cap
Near mint original Heer officers cap with the bright red piping for Artillerie. The cap is in very good near mint condition and does not show moth damage to the piping or the base of the cap. The cap retains its originally sewn visor and sweatband. The cap is a nice large size 58.

Dirnberger was 33 years old and was killed in action in Kalborn, Luxembourg on 24.1.1945 later to be reburied in Daleiden, Germany. He was awarded Eisernez Kreuz 2. Klasse, Infanterie Sturmabzeichen and the Ostmedaille.

Death card of Obergefreiter Josef Reindl. Was killed in action during the Ardennes offensive. Reindl was 39 years old and was killed in Rodershaufen near Dasburg, Luxenbourg on 22.1.1945 later to be reburied in Sandweiler, Luxenbourg. He was awarded the Kriegsverdienstkreuz with swords.

Rare Erkennungsmarke marked 62899 for Fallschirmjäger Regiment 2 and 4
Rare original Luftwaffe Erkennungsmarke or ID tag marked 62899 which was the MOB code used for troops in 12. Kompanie Fallschirmjäger Regiment 2 and 4. The tag is in good condition with its original cord and is a early example manufactured from aluminum. This base material dates the Erkennungsmarke to around 1940. Fallschirmjäger Regiment 2 was dropped over Den Haag at airfield Ypenburg in 1940.

NS62 M35 single decal Heer helmet
Textbook M35 helmet produced to M40 specifications marked NS62 indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, Schwerte. This M35 helmet was produced in 1940 during the switchover to the M40 type helmet. Hence it was produced with one decal and a dull and slightly textured finish. These helmet where only produced for a few months and are not to be confused with a reissue type helmet. The helmet is in very good untouched condition with 90% of the decal and 90% of the factory paint remaining. The helmet is complete with its factory fitted reinforced aluminum liner and chinstrap. Very nice example in good untouched condition – just how I like them most!

ET66 single decal Kriegsmarine M40 helmet
Textbook M40 single decal Kriegsmarine helmet in good used condition. The helmet is marked ET66 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale. The helmet retains its textbook ET Kriegsmarine decal up to 85% and the factory paint up to 80%. The helmet retains its factory fitted liner which is unit marked b./5. A.f.k. In the back of the liner is a piece of string which is typical of that used in the issue Tarnnetz. The helmet is a great and textbook example of a Kriegsmarine combat helmet with loads of character!

The helmet retains its original paint up to 99% and its decal up to 80%. The helmet retains its factory fitted liner which is named in the back. Rare Italian camouflage Hermann Göring division smock
Rare original Luftwaffe issue camouflage smock as made for members of the Hermann Göring Division. Typical garment modeled after the Waffen-SS M38 smock with captured Italian Telo Mimetico material. The smock is in good used condition and the fabric is strong with vibrant but slightly faded colours. Natural wear to the full garment with a stain on the right sleeve that looks like dried blood. The garment is a textbook unit made piece that was made in a small quantity with many period images of these smocks in wear ranging from wear in Italy to the eventual surrender in the Netherlands. The garment is a one looker wartime sewn example without postwar alterations. All of the single seam stitching is old and shows the age one would like to see. Superb and rare piece that would be very hard to upgrade and easily a centerpiece in any camouflage collection!

Late war Tragegestell 43 ammunition carrying frame with late war Ersatz woven rubber straps. The tan painted rack is complete with all(!) of its straps and buckles. The rack is in very good unissued condition with a nice mix of materials for the straps. All main late war strap materials can be observed; woven Rubber, webbing, folded canvas and red line material. A very nice and minty late war tan painted Tragegestell with the typical and rare rubber carrying straps that would be very hard to upgrade!

First pattern Luftwaffe Field Division Splittertarn B smock
Nice original first pattern Luftwaffe Felddivision smock in Splittertarn B camouflage. The smock is a nice first pattern with press studs on the sleeves and the Splittertarn B printed on smooth fabric. The smock is a obviously combat worn example with loads of repairs. The breast eagle is a typical original example but in my opinion restored to the jacket. The garment is a nice large mannequin size and would be a nice base for a combat mannequin!

A nice matching pair of MP38 u. MP40 magazine pouches marked Otto Koberstein Landsberg 1942 indicating production by Otto Koberstein Landsberg. The pouches are in good unissued condition as pictured! The leather on the pouches is supple and the canvas is strong. One of the pouches was most probably on top hence the slight difference in aging. The set still has the original red pencil lines at all the leather fixtures. A great set for a combat mannequin that would be very hard to upgrade!

Textbook original Waffen-SS m40 pattern sidecap with clear ghosting of a SS skull and eagle. The cap is in good work condition and comes in a very good large size most probably 59 or 60. The cap would be a perfect restoration base. Very rare to find a original large sized Waffen-SS sidecap in the textbook banana shape, with false piping and a single line of stitching in the lining!

A nice tan painted 6×30 Dienstglas or army issue binoculars. These where issued to all branches in the Wehrmacht. The binoculars retain their original tan paint up to 70% and are in very good condition. The binoculars are marked CAG indicating production by Swarovski. The right ocular still retains the Strichplatte. The leather strap and lens cover are original to the binoculars and have the textbook tan painted studs.

Complete, mint and matching 7×50 power binoculars with all parts and straps maker marked bmk indicating production by Srb & Stys Fabrik Praziser Messinstrumente, Prague. The binoculars are very clear and well collimated. The right ocular still has the Strichplatte in place. No double vision, no haze, no mold inside. The case is complete with all straps. These binoculars where favored by combat officers, as they gave a long and clear range. A very nice pair of binoculars complete with its matching case that would be impossible to upgrade!

Rare 1941 dated Erdsprechgerät
Rare original Erdsprechgerät in good used condition. The Erdsprechgerät was a device used in the case of a broken field phone connection due to shrapnel for instance. The Erdsprechgerät is complete with the microphone and headset. The headset has a damaged outer cable but the inside looks fine. Very hard to find Erdsprechgerät with its original and undamaged case!
