Canadian MKII helmet with rare gas hood in excellent condition. The helmet is marked CL/C 1942 indicating production by Canadian Lamp Company. The helmet itself retains up to 99% of its factory finish. The liner is size 7 1/8 and nicely dated 1942. The gas hood is marked aristo 1942. Very nice set in very good condition. Very nice set!!

Denison smock Airborne Troops size 7 A. Raven & Co, LTD 1942 in excellent condition. The smock was worn by a Paratrooper during operation Dragoon in southern France. The garment is a beautiful early example finished in hand painted and screen painted camouflage patterns. Interestingly this is a early example with the front portion cut out of two separate parts joined in the middle. One should not confuse this with a seam for a long zipper as both the edges are sewn at the Selveedge indicating this is not possible. Additionally none of the seams on the lower sewing have been opened or resewn. The garment has additional hand painted brown camouflage paint on top of the hand painted camouflage base. The sleeve wing was found with the garment but resewn by the previous collector. The tail is present and sewn to the back, not fixed with female newey studs. The label is nice and readable, the WD marking in the back is clear. On the lower portion there is a service number visible which is hard to make out. This is a beautiful early pattern Denison smock in a good large size with a history that would be hard to upgrade!

British army jack knife marked Taylor, Sheffield, Witness, 1944 with original lanyard.

Rare British windproof trousers, drab marked size No.2 A. Raven & Co Ltd 1942. The trousers are in very good, only moderately worn condition. This is a very hard to find pair of trousers!

Rare plastic Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders capbadge in good condition. The badge is in good used condition. Rare variant!

British army fork marked Bisby 1940 in good condition. This type of cutlery was standard issue for all troops. Nice early example, I have 4 identical examples the price is naturally for one.

Stengun MKII butt stock in good used condition. Hard to find spare!

Textbook Canadian issue Battledress jacket as worn by a British Lieutenant serving with the 21st Army Group, HQ Royal Signals. The garment is modified with a open collar and retains its period sewn insignia. The insignia have been modified with white paint on the lettering to make the insignia more clear. Nice example with name and some more information inside!

British MKIII turtle helmet from Valkenswaard in good untouched condition. The helmet is a typical late war example with full factory finish, liner and chinstrap. Hard to find late war example that was not repurposed post war!

 

This helmet was recently recovered in a small group of helmets which were collected straight after the Liberation in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands and has never been in a collection before.

British MKII helmet dated 1943 in good used condition. Complete with chinstrap and 1943 dated liner. Textbook mid war example that was worn during the Northwest Europe campaign from D-Day to VE-Day.

British and Canadian world war two ration tin of chocolate and boiled sweets. Originally a ration issued to combat troops;  it can be argued that most of these fell victim of liberated children during the liberation.
