  • Stunning 5 Liter SMM41 water container

A nice and usable 5 liter Trinkwasser water carrier.
These carriers where first introduced around 1941 probably due to the hot climate in Italy and Africa. These are becoming hard to find and are a good and secure way to take drinking water to the front. This one still has most of its original paint and stencils and is in very good condition!

The canister is clean. It has not been used to store oil, gasoline or other poisonous substances. I have drunk water from this one myself last summer.

  • 10 Liter SMM41 water container

A nice and usable 10 liter Trinkwasser water carrier.
These carriers where first introduced around 1941 probably due to the hot climate in Italy and Africa. These are becoming hard to find and are a good and secure way to take drinking water to the front. This one still has some original paint remaining but would be best restored. A new gasket or seal for the lid can be acquired through Kriegsendemilitaria.

The canister is a bit dirty but clean. It has not been used to store oil, gasoline or other poisonous substances. A good rinse with water will make this usable again!

  • Long handled pioneer wire cutters with cover by G. Genschow, Berlin. 1937

A nice long handled wire cutter with it’s original early pouch. The pouch is nicely maker, location and date marked G. Genschow, Berlin. 1937 and marked with the prewar Waffenamt 387. The wire cutters are in great condition and retain most of their original finish. The blades are Waffenamt marked and still in good condition; they still work great on steel wire. The handles still retain most of their pressed paper handles and bakelite end knobs. These wire cutters where mostly used by pioneers but lots of them can be seen used in the hands of squad leaders during operation Fall Gelb in 1940.

A rare and desirable set that I probably won’t find another one of soon!

  • Nice 1937 dated Czech shovel with cover

A nicely 1937 dated Czech straight E-tool. The complete stock of Czech uniforms and equipment was taken in by the German army at the beginning of the occupation in 1938. A large portion of these shovels was straightly re-issued into the Waffen-SS which up till 1940 could not rely on the issue of equipment through the OKW. Hence you can see these a lot of pictures of the Waffen-SS in the early campaign. These shovels where used and issued within all branches of the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS from 1940 onwards. I’ve included a few pictures of these shovels in German use.

A great unusual spade with cover in great condition perfect for a mannequin!
