The binoculars are nicely marked dkl which indicates production by Josef Schneider & Co., Kreuznach which is a rather hard to encounter manufacturer of optical equipment. Textbook late war example in tan paint which still retains for up to 95%. The binoculars still have the brown coloured face cushion which remains in very good condition for the age of the material. The binoculars are functional, the optics are in good condition but could be cleaned for a better result. Very nice set!

The binoculars retain their original leatherette, rain cover and period repaired strap. The binoculars are made by Ruka, Rathenow which seems to be the main if not only manufacturer with this SS contract. The top of the binoculars are marked with a large Totenkopf with SS-Dienstglas. A extremely rare, original pair of binoculars with its original Totenkopf SS-Dienstglas markings!

Most parts (the binoculars itself, the case and the neck strap) are nicely marked bmj which indicates production by Hensoldt u. Soehne, Mechanisch-Optische Werke AG, Wetzlar. Sadly one of the bakelite eye cups is missing. Hard to encounter such a complete set!

    A stunning speckled brown bakelite 6×30 binocular case. Later in the war when the Germans ran out of pigment for bakelite they switched over to different fillers. Sawdust was one of the filling materials used, creating a interesting speckled finish. The brown bakelite dienstglas containers where mostly found with tan 6×30 binoculars. One of the leather belt straps is nicely marked jhg 44 which indicates production by Gustav Genschow u. Co., AG, Lederwarenfabriken, Alstadt-Hachenburg. The case is in untouched as found condition and undamaged condition and has a very aesthetic and vibrant light brown colour which would nicely attribute a late war uniform setup.

This tool was one of the few real army (Wehrmacht) issued pieces, and is hard to find in good working condition!

    Rare Kriegsmarine issue 7×50 armoured binoculars or Dienstglas in overall good condition. The binoculars are nicely marked blc which indicates production by Carl Zeiss, Jena. The binoculars retains all of its rubber (armoured) parts. The thick rubber armouring is in very good condition besides one tear near the ocular but is sturdy and functional. The binoculars are finished in the typical factory tan which was period repainted in Kriegsmarine ‘sea green’ camouflage paint and this remains for up to 95%. The sight is still very good and the lenses are clean and clear damages. Nice and rare to find binoculars which were also used in a U-boot!

The mount is rare and goes straight into the Kommandohilfsgerät 35 but is using the same principle as many other German optic mounts. So in theory; it could also be mounted to various other devices. The mount has been restored yet both optics retain their original tan colour. A very rare to find set in excellent condition.

  • Rare tan 8×24 binoculars made by Huet, Paris marked H/6400

    Extremely rare factory tan painted 8×24 binoculars in good, used condition. These binoculars are a typical pattern only manufactured by the French company HUET in Paris. The largest part of these binoculars were finished in green paint, I have only encountered a few by now finished in tan paint like this one. The binoculars retain up to 85% of the original tan paint. The binoculars are sadly damaged, there is a tear trough the material were the lens connect to the main body as can be clearly seen on the 4th and 5th picture! Rare French made tan coloured 8×24 binoculars!

This signal generator employed a quarz 2.830 kHz.crystal to generate the necessary test frequency. The Fprüf. b was powered from the same source as the receiver and used a special power connector shown below. Different frequency quarz crystals could be used with this device.     Nice original 6×30 binoculars or Dienstglas case in good, undamaged condition. The case is manufactured out of black coloured phenolic resin (bakelite) and is undamaged. The case features leather belt loops and a rubber pulling tab on the closing latch which are all still intact and undamaged. The cushion on the inside has come loose on the lid but this is not really disturbing. Very nice and textbook example!

The binoculars retains all of its rubber (armoured) parts. A lot of the thick rubber parts aree cracked because of the drought of the material but are original to the piece.  The binoculars are finished in the typical yellow/green Kriegsmarine paint and this remains for up to 90%. The sight is still very good and the lenses are clean and clear damages. Nice and rare to find binoculars which were also used in the U-boot!

    Excellent 6×30 binoculars or Dienstglas in very good condition. The binoculars are nicely marked dow which indicates production Opticotechna GmbH which is a well known ZF4 and trench periscope manufacturer but is not often encountered on binoculars! The binoculars are of pre war Czech manufacture which have been remade into the German 6×30 pattern around 1940. If you look closely you can still make out the pre war Czech markings. Very hard to find binoculars!
