  • Untouched M31 messkit with brown strap

    155.00

Nice pre war M31 messkit complete with brown strap in very good condition. The lid and the bottom part of the Messkit are a mismatch (lid HRE 39, kettle DMN 37) but this set is in untouched condition and was most likely used in this configuration! Very nice example with a brown coloured strap which really fits the messkit!

  • Rare enameled M42 messkit by Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF)

    300.00

Messkits and canteens enameled in these colours are attributed to be made by the Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) run by Oskar Schindler. Messkits and canteens, unmarked, in these specific colours have been found in the old factory storage of the former DEF.  There are several other makers of enameled steel canteens and messkits but they all carry different characteristic features such as markings or specific colours. No other maker utilizes these light gray and blue colours and lacks markings. The light blue “wash” on top of the enamel is one of the typical features. The messkit is in good used condition. A very nice and rare messkit!

  • Decorated M31 messkit from Valentin Muravsky

  • German reissued Italian messkit

    115.00

The Italian army messkit (Gavetta Modello 1930) was a commonly seen item within the German army. Prior to re-issue in the German army they where mostly painted green by the Germans. This example came out of a small find in Italy just recently and would be hard to upgrade. I have 10 pieces in stock, they are all in the same unissued condition and would be a great addition to any field gear collection! I will always pick a nice example in the same condition as pictured!

Excellent original pre war matching aluminum M31 messkit marked DMN 39 indicating production by Deutsche Metallwerke AG, Neustadt.

  • Pre war M31 messkit marked FWBN36/38

    200.00

Nice pre war M31 canteen in very good condition. The canteen is interestingly marked FWBN 36 on the lid and FWBN 38 on the bottom part but both parts have been finished with exactly the same paint, most likely the finished some left over old stock in 1938! Nice example!

  • M31 mess kit mismatched and named

Nice original mismatched M31 mess kit or “Kochgeschirre M 31 (Alum.)” in hard used condition. The lid is nicely marked ZPStZ 41 (Zieh, Press u. Stanzwerk, Schwarz & Co., Zwintschona-Halle) and named to W. Bauer, the kettle itself is marked HRE 40 (Heinrich Ritter, Esslingen) and is nicely named to Gerhard Noack, Leipzig N25. It is impossible to state when the lid and kettle have been put together, either period or post war. Original example with nicely named parts!

  • M31 Messkit marked OHW 44

    140.00

Nice late war M31 messkit in good, light used condition. The messkit is nicely marked OHW 44 which indicates production by Otto Honsel-Werke, Aluminiumwerk, Werdohl in 1944. The mess kit is nicely named with the initials O.H. on multiple places, scratched in the surface of the aluminium and steel handle. 200.00

Excellent and desirable late war unpainted/unfinished M31 messkit without any paint or finish of any kind, none was ever applied! This is a so called transitional type which features all the characteristics of the M42 messkit but is still made out of aluminium. The messkit is nicely marked HRE 44 which indicates production by Heinrich Ritter, Esslingen in 1944. Rare and desirable variant!

The mess kit is in good used condition and would be a great addition to any collection!

  • M42 transitional messkit with M31 handle marked MN43

    200.00

Scarce transitional M42 messkit with M31 pattern handles. This example was most probably produced during the transition from m31 to M42 model utilizing the early style handles which were normally riveted to the aluminum body. Uncommon late war variant in very good condition.
